Small Business Consulting
Getting started and staying inspired.
For twenty years I ran a small business, The SweatBox Yoga studio, going from three employees to twenty, navigating a huge recession and massive neighborhood change. In that time I introduced a 401K, offered sick and vacation time and implemented a profit-sharing program for my employees.
When I started my business I used newspaper print advertising and when I ultimately sold my business, social media was the way to spread the word. In the course of running my business I started CHEW, Capitol Hill Entrepreneurial Women, a small business mentorship and support group that was ultimately absorbed by the GSBA to become the larger entity- SEW (Seattle Entrepreneurial Women).
I completed the University of Washington Small Business mentorship program and started an intern program in my studio. I loved owning a small business and growing it. And now I love helping other small businesses navigate the beginning stages and the changing tides as their business changes and grown.
